Kodiak Mountain Lodge - Silver, 8/2012
My mom is critically ill and wanted to spend some of her last good days with family in a cabin. This one looked great on the website, but even better in person. Spotless and spacious. They thought of everything...there was not one appliance we needed that wasn't in the kitchen. We put mom & dad upstairs (that oddly shaped window frames the most gorgeous view you can imagine)and even with lots of kids in the house, they were able to rest in peace. Most of the other bedrooms are on the lowest level...too many stairs for mom (almost too many for me)! Also, the staff were perfect. We worked with Tammy, who was so caring about our having a perfect weekend to make memories with mom. Family came from all around to spend time and always had a place to sit comfortably. We hope to return again.

My favorite family vacation ever! The check in was easy & close to the mountain home. The office staff were friendly & helpful. There was a water main break during our stay and maintenance was at the home within 10 minutes of our call. The home is the second to last on the top of the mountain and is absolutely gorgeous with large windows everywhere. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the bedrooms on each floor. We each had our own space to relax but could all get together to cook/eat or go to the bottom level for family games/air hockey tournaments. The view from the balconies is fabulous! The pictures do not and probably could not ever do justice to this view. I would have to become a photographer if I lived in Gatlinburg because I could not stop taking pictures. As I look back through them, it almost looks like we are staying in different locations because the mountains change so much. The mornings are breathtaking with the fog settling in the valleys and clouds moving over your head. I loved the location of this home. The road is steep but all inside the mountain so you never feel like you are hovering over an edge. The home was centrally located to all the activities we chose. We went to Dollywoood which has the best new roller coaster ride, The Wild Eagle. We also saw the Jon Dee hypnotist show and shopped in downtown Gatlinburg. We did "A Walk with Nature" which was a guided tour of the Smoky Mountain National Park. We chose the "Stroll Back in Time" 1/2 day tour in the Greenbriar area and ate lunch at a beautiful waterfall. Our favorite activity was the Climbworks Zip-line canopy tour. This was so much fun! We were lucky enough to zip in the sun for the first half and then in a downpour for the second half. What a thrill! Gatlinburg is a great city! Each day we could stay in the peace and quiet of our beautiful mountain home or within minutes be downtown or on an adventure. It will be impossible not to come back to Favored by Fortune!

I'm reluctant to write a good review because I want to keep this place a secret! Seriously though, since the reviews helped us make our decision, I feel we should return the favor. Jmh has mastered the art of customer service. We had an issue with the cabin (our fault, not cabin problem) and they sent someone up at 5:00 pm on a Friday. Even still, the man was very friendly and professional even though he just got off work and was probably ready to start his weekend. Plus, everyone we've dealt with is always cheerful, professional, and pleasant to talk to. We have rented from other companies and have had bad experiences. We loved this cabin and hope it will stay affordable. Definately recommened.

Everything you read on the website and all the pictures you view are absolutely correct. Nothing deceitful, what you see is what you get! You walk in and it smells and looks as if you were the only one to have stayed there. This company is so clean that the hot tub is cleaned after every stay so you don't have to worry about anything! I had the most relaxing weekend ever and thank you so much to Jackson Mountain Homes! You never really know what your getting into when you travel for vacation, and they excelled so highly that i couldn't imaging going back without reserving lodging through them! We couldn't check in until after business hours, and the package they left gave precise directions along with toms of information on the towns and even completed the package with doggie treats for our dog! Little details matter, and they excelled!

Jackson Mountain Homes is our #1 source when finding a great place to stay while in Gatlinburg. We have stayed with them at several different cabins, The staff is friendly, helpful in finding a location that will work for all purposes and all cabins have been excellent stays, We usually bring about 6 to 8 adults. The Cabins are always extra clean, Hot tubs always in great conditions and views are second to none. I highly suggest anyone looking for that "Special Place" of memories to give Jackson Mountain Homes an opportunity to make your next trip to the mountains unbelievable and a trip to remember. We have also tested them for any hiccups that may come along and You can rest assured and feel confident that in the event something does pop up unexpectedly they will come to your aid.
The Cabins we chose in Gatlinburg were close enough to get some great views yet the commuting was quick and easy to get to the places we wanted to visit, walk the strip or just buy groceries.
These folks are sinply the "Very Best"" in Gatlinburg Cabin Rentals. Give them a shot. They won't let you down.

I would recommend this lodge & actually did to a friend that is now reserved for March. I cannot say enough good things about our stay here, location & how clean/inviting the lodge is.. The Great Escape is a great cabin; clean, in great condition, and in a good location as well. My wife and I were extremely happy with not only the cabin itself, but the JMH staff as well. They're a generous group of people that took care of us from check-in to check-out. They even called us a few hours after we had arrived to make sure everything was ok and in working order. The great thing about the JMH staff is that they're not all business, they sincerely do appreciate your business and go out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay as well as making sure you'll remain a repeat customer. We would do this trip over again-- a thousand times!

I had never rented from Jackson Mountain Homes before. I have been visiting Gatlinburg for the last 25 years and never heard of this rental company. I was looking for pet friendly cabins and this one met our needs. I have always rented from Mountain Laurel Chalets and they are not pet friendly. The customer service from Jackson Mountain Homes and the cabin itself was everything the internet said it was. No surprises. I will definitely stay here again as this was the best experience overall with any I have ever had. My family was pleased and the access to main highway was terrific. The cabin was private yet very close to main road and not climbing up the side of a mountain which required time and anxiety! We all loved this place and the service we received from JMH. We will be back!!!
Beyond the Pond - Wilson, 3/2012
Have rented from Jackson Mountain Homes the last 5 times we have visited The Great Smokey Mountains. As always the staff at JMH was exceptional - friendly, ourteous, helpful & informative! We have stayed at "Beyond the Pond" a total of three times by choice. The cabin is nicely furnished and comfortable. We especially enjoy sitting on the covered porch relaxing,reading and listening to the water trickle down the hillside into the pond. Rain on the metal roof is always a welcome sound. We plan to request "Beyond the Pond" again in the future.

This was our visit to the south, to the Smoky Mountains, from St. Louis, Missouri. This visit was also special as my wife and I were celebrating our second wedding anniversary. We chose a cabin via Jackson Mountain Homes and while selecting a cabin, we had forgotten to mention that we would like to connect our laptop to a TV. 
After checking into our cabin, we were disappointed that we could not connect our laptop to the TV in that cabin. This meant, we could not relive some our photo /DVD memories again. We called the Jackson Mountain homes helpline and shared our concern with an on-call person called Terry. She was very calm, collected, and patient to hear us. She proactively connected with her manager, and reviewed other options that Jackson mountain homes could offer us. We were moved to another cabin and as we walked into that cabin, we were delighted to see a nice LCD TV to which we could connect our laptop. We had a great 4 day vacation and enjoyed the cabin thoroughly. We know that because of Terry's willingness to go the extra mile, our visit to the Smoky Mountains has been the best vacation we have had so far. We look forward to coming back soon; probably next year - perhaps with other family members. We are confident that with advisors like Terry and Manager like Deb, at Jackson mountain homes, we would not be disappointed again. Thanks Terry and everyone at Jackson Mountain Homes!

It is tiresome to talk with staff that are unfriendly or inconsiderate. I could not believe how nice and friendly the staff were at JMH. That really impressed me!!! I felt the inside of the cabin was well equipped and made us (as the guest) feel important. The little extras like dishwasher packs, extra paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, plenty of towels and linens. We can't wait to come back!

Jackson Mountain Homes has been a place that we have stayed at before. We chose this place in the beginning because they allow us to bring our dogs! We loved it so much we have gone back every year, even got married there! Jackson Mountain touched my heart this year the most because they went above & beyond to help us when our dog strayed away! One of the kids left the door open and no one realized the dog got out until an hr later. Jackson Mountain Homes helped locate her and I am forever grateful to them. They are wonderful and their cabins are beautiful!

Majestic Point Lodge - Carpenter, 12/10
The cabin we booked experienced an electrical problem prior to our arrival and was unavailable for our use. JMH offered us another cabin that was much larger and more luxurious for the same price as the original. I'm sure someone worked very hard to make that happen. The first night of our 4 night stay, we could not reach the cabin because of snow and the previous renters could not get out. JMH helped us find a hotel at a VERY busy time, and refunded us the night we had added prior to arrival. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful at a very stressful time with all of the snow. We will definitely use JMH again! You made our only family vacation of the year a time to remember!
There are too many great adjectives to describe our Christmas Vacation at the Green Gables Cabin with Jackson Mountain Homes. First, the Cabin itself was Gorgeous (pictures on line do not do it justice) It was extremely clean. Had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The beds were comfy. Loved the Fireplace. My kids loved the gameroom in the loft. Plenty of TV's for all. Happy with Internet. Most of all was the outstanding service we received from Jackson Mountain Homes Employees. They called when we arrived to make sure everything was ok? Then when there was a snow storm & we called them because we were snowed in. They were calming, supportive and ready to do whatever needed to be done to help us, including sending in a team of employees to bring us food, flashlights and a shovel. "Above & Beyond" Their customer service was extraordinary! When we needed to depart they hired outside contractors to dig us out of the snow. I will only stay at a Jackson Mountain Home when I return. My family loved it here and we can't wait to come back in the Fall!

Our Family Vacation - D. Dufek
My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer in December of 2009 so we decided that we wanted to have all the family together one last time. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. The cabin was very spacious, clean and the scenery could not have been more beautiful. We really enjoyed ourselves. My husband passed away in September and just a few days before he said it was one of the best vacations we had ever taken.

My husband and I meet his sister and her husband every year in Gatlinburg. It is a halfway point for all of us. We are from Charlotte and they are from Cincinnati. We generally get a condo in downtown Gatlinburg, but decided to try a cabin this year. Fantastic!! Beautiful setting, ultra clean, great location, friendly service , everything you would want. No worries!! Only problem we had was having to leave to come home. We have been making our yearly trip to Gatlinburg for 20 years and this was the best ever . Amazing Trip for a Soldier's Midtour Leave!! - Rice
My husband and I stayed at the Fawn Cabin on his mid-tour leave from afghanistan and it was an amazing experience! We ran into traffic on the way to Gatlinburg and were late for the check-in hours, and the staff's accommodations for check-in were so easy and well-planned! They even called us the next morning to make sure we were settled and everything was to our liking. We were so pleased with the cabin (clean, quiet, private, everything that was promised!) and we loved the area where we were located. It was away from town (but not too far) and there not any cabins close to ours! Overall, our experience with Jackson Mountain was outstanding and we have recommended this group to many of our friends looking for a trip. We also plan to make this a yearly trip when he returns home! So pleased and cannot wait to go back!! Thank you so much Jackson Mountain!
An unbelievably relaxing retreat.
This is the second time we've travelled the 11 hours just to stay with JMH. I wanted to spend my birthday in one of their cabins. We were continuously amazed with how friendly and helpful the staff was...no matter how many times we called. Consistently exceeded our expectations. They even had free OberGatlinburg tickets in our cabin's binder! What a nice surprise.
Why did I get Married Weekend - T & M Roper
We had a wonderful weekend. My husband and I invited two other couples (good friends) for a weekend of relaxation. This was our first time in the mountains and it snowed right before we left. What a treat! We laughed, ate, cried and remembered just why we married our significant others. I hope to make this an annual event. This cabin was just amazing. We played cards, board games and laughed a lot. It was good for the soul. Thanks so much to the young lady who booked the cabin, it was worth the 5 1/2 hour drive. Awesome Vacation
I just wanted Jackson Mountain to know that this was the greatest Gatlinburg vacation we have ever had. This cabin was perfect. Great location close to Gatlinburg, yet what a wonderful view!!! It was convenient to town and safe for teenagers to drive up and down the mountain. Though we were close to town, we still were in the mountains. It was the perfect cabin for our family. The most beautiful cabin we have ever stayed in, very clean, the cleanest we have ever stayed in. When we come back, we will definitely be asking for this cabin again. We had a wonderful stay.
Breathtaking
We found JMH when looking for a honeymoon getaway in 2001, and when the opportunity arose to return in 2010, we were very excited about the idea. Our stay at Makin Memories made the entire trip worthwhile, and has us planning our next getaway, no matter how long that may be, we know we will return. Both of our experiences in dealing with JMH has been the very best, and we will definitely plan a future trip to most beautiful Tennessee, and include JMH in our plans. The cabins are breathtaking, the peace and tranquility immeasureable, definitely something you will always cherish. Thanks Guys, you have always done well by us.

Best Place We Ever Stayed in the Smokies
Jmh is a friendly rental company that is a pleasure to do business with. They truly want to please! The Bear's Den is a cozy, beautifully decorated cabin that is close to area attractions and the GSMNP. The kitchen is well supplied with everything you need. The owners have thought of every detail to make their cabin feel like "home away from home." We wouldn't think of renting any other cabin!!! 11/24/2010
A Great Thanksgiving With Our Family
One of our most memorable stays with Jackson Mountain Homes was the year we celebrated Thanksgiving in the Smokies with lots of our family members. It was so much fun to get up early and cook with my sisters, nieces, and in-laws. Somehow the meal seemed to taste so much better than our usual Indiana Thanksgiving dinners. Could it have been that beautiful view of Mt LeConte, the pine trees all around and the sounds of nature outside our windows or just the beauty of the cabin, the warmth of the fireplace and knowing all the love that went into our meal. Wow, so nice to think back and have all those wonderful memories. Thank You for providing such wonderful vacation homes for us to share with our family. Enjoy your Thanksgiving next Thusday with your families!!!!
A Great Place for Family Time - From Norma & the Girls, 
"We planned for our family vacation 2008 in early in 2007 and looked at many rental properties in Gatlinburg. We chose BIG TIMBER LODGE rented by Jackson Mountain Homes. There is room to sleep 30 with adequate bathrooms. Twenty of us went on the trip. We ranged in ages 22 – 81. Four of us arrived on Thursday 8-21-08. After checking in at the office, we drove to the lodge, which was easy to find after we got used to it. We played cards and Wii (bowling) while waiting for others to arrive. Four more came before dark. My son was good at giving directions to 8 others who arrived after it got dark. The final members of the group arrived on Friday afternoon.
After breakfast, Friday, the old folks went shopping at an outlet mall and then we ate lunch at ALFS, a small restaurant in Pigeon Forge. We ate 5 sandwiches and 4 beers for $41. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. For comparison, my daughter and her husband paid $9.50 for two ice cream cones in Gatlinburg. The energetic ones went to the national park and hiked and learned about fireflies. After a spaghetti dinner prepared in the kitchen at the Big Timber Lodge, we had a Wii bowling tournament.
On Saturday, we prepared pancakes for breakfast. They were exceptionally delicious. Most of the group went to Ober Gatlinburg; others went to Clingman’s Dome; while still others went gambling. While in the amusement park, we heard fire works used to scare away the bears. After a cookout at the Big Timber Lodge, my grandson showed old home movies that he had put on a DVD. Then we played Cranium.
On Sunday, some of us went to mass at St Mary. Then we sat around the big kitchen table and talked about old times. My grandson showed photographs of his wedding. Then some of us went downtown to shop and purchased candles. Others went to the swimming pool. Those that did not have to leave on Sunday ate at Peddlers, a steak place in Gatlinburg.Every night there was a talk session in and around the hot tub. Many of the world's problems were discussed. Few if any were solved.
On Monday 8-25-08 all of us were out of the lodge and headed home by 9:30 AM. The Big Timber Lodge was a great place for family time. We were able to eat meals together, have a good time together, and still find time for privacy if needed."

"Going to Gatlinburg has become a yearly tradition for my husband and I for our anniversary, most of the time with us just renting a cabin for a long weekend. We have been staying in cabins since 1999 and have been with a few different companies, mainly because of buy-outs or businesses just flat out closing. Last year we took the whole family and we tried Jackson Mountain Homes. We stayed in Duck Pond Retreat and loved it! The company itself is great to deal with and their cabin selection is stellar. What we really liked also was that the cabins are truly out of the way and secluded. That is one thing that I really want when we go, our neighbor's houses at home are close to ours, we want more privacy when on vacation, not those cabins that are right on top of each other! We already have a return trip planned and reserved for this year....this is definitely the place to go."

"We just returned from a week in the Smokies. Because of some of the reviews on this site, and their easy-to-use website, we chose a cabin with Jackson Mountain Homes. We stayed at "Seneca" which was a secluded cabin for 2-4 people about 10 minutes outside of Gatlinburg. It was absolutely beautiful - a deck with hot tub and a great view of the mountains. Everything was clean and exactly as reported on their website, and the people at Jackson were friendly and easy to deal with. They even called us at the cabin the day after we arrived to check and see if everything went well. If you're planning a trip to the region, consider renting one of their cabins - it will make your trip that much better!"

Great way to relax 
"We've rented several cabins in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The cabins offered by Jackson Homes have always been clean and beautifully furnished. They also offer several cabins that are pet friendly. Their prices are comparable with others in the area and their website is very helpful."
Beautiful Chalets
"On one of our trips to the Smoky Mountains we decided to rent a chalet. After staying in the comfort of our own isolated chalet in the mountains we decided to never stay in a hotel again. This company is one of the best chalet and cabin rentals in Gatlinburg. They have a great selection of cabins and chalets in a variety of locations. The prices are reasonable. These places are so private and beautiful. They have some of the best views. The only thing you may not like is that no one will come in and clean your chalet or bring you more sheets or towels, but you can drive to the office and pick up extras whenever you need them. Most of the chalets I have stayed at have washers and dryers, so we just wash the towels ourselves. There is usually a hot tub in most chalets. Another thing you may not like is a long drive into town. Some chalets are closer then others, but all require some driving time to go into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge."

40th Wedding Anniversary Memories
Just wanted to let you know what a positive experience we had in renting one of your properties from June 16 to June 23. We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary this summer and wanted to treat ourselves and all of our grown children and their children to a week in the Gatlinburg area. We made arrangements to stay in Majestic Point Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The property is beautifully appointed inside and out and met our needs in every way. Check-in was easy and we found everything about dealing with Jackson Mountain Homes to our satisfaction. Thank you so much for making our trip a wonderful memory.
As a side note, we had arranged to have a personal chef from the Sevierville area come to Majestic Point Lodge to cook a special anniversary dinner for us. With several small children including an infant, going out to dinner was not an option for us. Chef Ray from Fruitful Vintage prepared a delicious meal for us. We would highly recommend his services. He prepares meals for special occasions as well as preparing meals and freezing them for later use. He also provides a shopping service for those clients who might need help in stocking the kitchen before they arrive for vacation. What a great idea that is! He and his wife Lisa work together and do a splendid job in a most capable and cordial style. They were a joy to meet and visit with. Again, thanks for assisting us in making such a memorable vacation for our family. We've already recommended your agency to friends who are considering a stay in your area in the future.

Hi! We just stayed this past weekend (14-18th ) at Cub's Cove in Black Bear Falls Resort and I walked out the door and completely forgot to leave a gratuity for the cleaning service. I feel so horrible- the name on the envelope was Jana, I had it in mind and out the door I went. Anyway, I was wondering if you could give me the contact info for the company so I could send her a little something? P.S. This was our first time booking online and staying in a cabin with your company and OH MY GOSH- we had a wonderful time, the website doesn't do the cabin/area justice. We will be back and hopefully everyone we've raved to you about will as well. We checked in late and the maps/information you provided made everything idiot-proof considering we've never been to the area either. Thank you so much, we can't say enough about the experience. Plus the way you had snow shipped in, that was a bonus for 2 ex-Northerners that hadn't seen any of the white stuff in years, it was nice to experience and be able to drive away from!!!

I have to share the most wonderful experience we just had while going to Gatlinburg Tennessee. My family all decided to meet in Gatlinburg for a small family reunion. The youngest daughter looked online to find cabins. She came across the JACKSON MOUNTAIN HOMES site and WOW! This has to be the most AAA rental business around for miles. I can honestly tell you from the first call to the last call I have never experienced such great, professionalism, courtesy, enthusiasm , helpful and caring from the people on your staff. They are truly the reason why our stay was as pleasant and peaceful as it was. The cabin we stayed in was VERY hard to choose because they all looked so cozy and inviting. The staff that took our reservation was superb. They all made it a joy to call and arrange our trip. All of the staff was very helpful and efficient. We arrived to the BEAUTIFUL cabin, with perfect directions, and I must say, a most memorable evening. The next morning we received yet another phone call welcoming us and confirming if we had everything we needed. I cannot say enough to really let you know just what a most efficient and caring staff you have employed. I can't imagine anyone coming into Gatlinburg and not staying with Jackson Mountain Homes. Again ,your staff is what made it our best possible family reunion we have ever had!

Louisana Girl - Jan. 2007 - The Rod Run is a huge car show. We have been several times to this event-my husband has a Vette, so it's his thing. I enjoy it too, though. We usually just park on Saturday morning and walk and talk. Everyone leaves on Sunday afternnoon, so the rest of our week is peaceful. We have stayed with Jackson Mountain Homes as well. We have always been very pleased with the cabins and their service. We are staying at Sparkling Waters in April. Our baby is a three pound Yorkie that always goes with us on vacation, and they are super nice when it comes to the pet friendly cabins.
Irish Lake - Jan. 2007 - Is the spring rod run a motorcycle thing? we'll be ther the end of may was well, memorial day weekend. and for what it's worth SNL, the last time we were there we were between gatlingburg and pigeon forge... and traffic getting into either town was terrible. i'm looking for a cabin much closer to gatlinburg this time, could care less to see pigeon forge again. arts and crafts area is likely where we'll stay. we also use jackson mountain homes. i love being able to see the floorplans of the cabins, not many other websites do that.
We have rented through them four times, and have always been pleased. They seem to have better deals than other rental companies. Check out Jackson mountain homes as well, we have stayed with them seven or eight times, and are staying with them again in April. We have rented through other companies, but these two have the friendliest staff and are very helpful. We have never had a problem with either.
We rented through Jackson Mountain Homes last year for 5 days in October. It was a 4 bedroom cabin and was absolutely beautiful. They told us that it was just a few months old at that time so everything was new and could not have been nicer. The pictures on their website did not do it justice. The cabin was Overlook Lodge. I would not hesitate to rent from them again. They were very nice to deal with and called us at home before we left to give us some alternate routes and then once we got to the cabin to make sure that everything was ok.
The Lamberts, Illinois-We just returned from Gatlinburg and were fortunate enough to stay at one of your properties. This was our first experience with Jackson Mountain Homes and we couldn't have been happier. The property was as advertised and more. Who knew we could rent such a beautiful cabin with a secluded feel and yet be less than three minutes from light 1A.
Our experience with JMH before and during our stay was great. Your staff was always courteous, knowledgeable abd extremely helpful. For example, during our stay the dryer went out in the unit. Your staff made sure that someone visited the property to assess the situation and then a repairman was called to fix the problem - all in the course of a few hours one day. What service!
Our family has stayed in rental properties at other vacation sites many times before. Never before, however, has our experience with the rental company AND the vacation property been so perfect. We will be back to Gatlinburg in the near future, and when we do, we would be excited to stay in one of your properties again.

We were fortunate enough to stay with you last June and wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for such awesome accommodations!! We had everything we needed at our finger tips. Because of the information book you had there, we did things we had never done before in all the years we have been coming to Tennessee... which has been every year since 1999. I enjoyed the horseback riding the most.... but the kids and my husband loved the helicopter ride!! It was by far the best trip ever. My neighbors had joined us and their kids and ours still talk about the loft, pool table and the PS2 that was provided!! It was such a kid friendly cabin!!
Once again thank you for last year. I keep praying that our financial situation improves so we can stay in another of your cabins!!!

C. S. Hunsaker, Florida-In celebration of our Dad's 50th birthday, we presented him with vacation choices. Perhaps because he is a country-boy at heart, he chose the Smoky Mountains! We didn't know the area very well when we planned the trip but Jackson Mountain Homes offered the best options near Gatlinburg. We hiked to Mt. LeConte on our third day. It was everything our hiking book promised. The views were spectacular. We enjoyed the view and the rockers at the cabin every day and night. We plan to return and will make this cabin our mountain home.

I have to stay inside all the time at home; but with your screened porch, I became an adventurous outside cat. With the open plan I could race from the porch through the living room and hall and up the stairs through the bedroom over to the jacuzzi and get great exercise. My parents had a great time hiking & relaxing in Gatlinburg while I stayed here exploring (or sleeping). This is the best vacation I've ever had!
