More About Laurel Lodge
Bedrooms: 5 Bathrooms: 4 Sleeps: 12
A log chalet with 5-star amenities, Laurel Lodge ensures that your stay will be a memorable one. The 3,100-square-foot, 5-bedroom home is loaded with luxuries including an outdoor hot tub, a pool table, and a home theater with a 92” projection screen.
A massive porch encircles the main floor of Laurel Lodge, offering panoramic views of the surrounding woodlands. Enjoy a morning concert of chickadees and sparrows while eating breakfast on one of the rockers; watch the sunset while nestling on the porch swing with that special someone; indulge in a late-night toast under the stars as owls hoot from the distance. And any time of day is ideal for luxuriating in the porch’s hot tub.
There’s plenty more to keep you entertained indoors as well. In fact, you may find yourself hoping for a rainy day, so that you have an excuse to stay in and chill among the lodge’s amenities. The downstairs home theater, for one, just might spoil you for your local cinema! You can watch your favorite movies or even TV shows on a 92” screen with surround sound while lounging in a plush recliner. If you can’t score Super Bowl tickets, you may want to book Laurel Lodge instead—viewing the big game here is the next best thing!
The loft level has a special attraction of its own: a game room with a billiard table. If you’ve never played pool before, here’s your chance to learn—or you can watch from the bistro chairs or the plush sofa. The room has its own balcony as well, looking out toward the Great Smoky Mountains.
The main floor’s great room is truly worthy of the name. Its large windows fill the space with sunshine, adding to the glow of the wood-planked floors and walls. Generously cushioned seating makes the living area a comfortable spot for watching TV, playing games, or warming up by the stone-surround gas fireplace with mugs of hot cocoa or mulled cider. The dining table easily seats 6, and the adjacent breakfast bar can accommodate 4. If you’re vacationing with kids, you can let them eat at the bar while the adults enjoy a leisurely meal at the table; the kids will no doubt love eating “on their own”!
Even if you view a vacation as an opportunity not to cook, you’ll appreciate Laurel Lodge’s kitchen, if only for the refrigerator/freezer to keep wine and juice boxes cold and a coffeemaker for brewing that all-important morning cup of joe. And if you enjoy cooking, the stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and wealth of gadgets, cookware, and tableware just might inspire you to new culinary heights.
Laurel Lodge’s 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms are spread out among its 3 floors. The loft level is home to a master suite, with a private bathroom and a king-size bed. A 2nd master suite is on the main floor, while one of the 2 downstairs bedrooms also has a king-size bed. The remaining 2 bedrooms, one downstairs and one on the main level, are just as inviting as the others; the only difference is they have queen-size beds instead of kings. Every bedroom has a TV, plenty of storage, and a ceiling fan whose gentle hum and soft breeze are certain to ease you to sleep.
And that’s a good thing, because you’ll want to be well rested to enjoy all the attractions nearby. Laurel Lodge is less than a mile from downtown Gatlinburg—if you don’t mind taking on a steep hill when your return, you could even walk to town and back. Once in town you can visit the aquarium, play mini golf, explore the Guinness World Records Museum, and much more. The lodge is also just minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area. Even Dollywood and the other attractions of Pigeon Forge are less than a half-hour away.
With so many fabulous reasons to make Laurel Lodge your home base for your next getaway, why not book your stay today? You’ll be glad you did!
